Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972),[1] better known by his stage name Eminem is an American rapper, record producer, actor and singer. Eminem quickly gained popularity in 1999 with his major-label debut album, The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The following album, The Marshall Mathers LP, became the fastest-selling solo album in history.[2] It brought Eminem increased popularity, including his own record label, Shady Records, and brought his group project, D12, to mainstream recognition. The Marshall Mathers LP and his third album, The Eminem Show, also won Grammy Awards, making Eminem the first artist to win Best Rap Album for three consecutive LP’s. He then won the award again in 2010 for his album Relapse, giving him a total of 11 Grammys in his career. In 2002, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself” from the film, 8 Mile, in which he also played the lead. & ....> Continue Here! <--

From 1996 Album: “Gravity”….. Get Da Bush Babees Music: www.amazon.com & itunes.apple.com Da Bush Babees is a group of underground hip-hop artists loosely affiliated with the Native Tongues. The members of the group are Babe-B-Face Kaos (later Lee Majors), Mister Man (later Mr. Khaliyl) and Y-Tee. The three grew up in Jamaica and Trinidad, and hence reggae strongly influenced its style, but it was in 1992 in Brooklyn, NY, where Mister Man first saw Kaos perform, that the group was formed. The two began collaborating, and after Mister Man suggested adding a reggae toaster, Y-Tee joined the group. After their early concert dates attracted major-label interest, the trio performed live office auditions and signed with Reprise three months after launching the group. Their first album, Ambushed (1994), featured production from Jermaine Dupri, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Salaam Gibbs (later known as Salaam Remi) and the group itself, among ot ....> Continue Here! <--

www.80sdancemusic.info During Live Aid Phil Collins took down the house with his 80s love songs “Against All Odds”. Live Aid was a multi-venue rock music concert held on July 13, 1985 (1985-07-13). The event was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Billed as the ‘global jukebox’, the event was held simultaneously in Wembley Stadium, London (attended by 82000 people) and JFK Stadium, Philadelphia (attended by about 99000 people). On the same day, concerts inspired by the initiative happened in other countries, such as Australia and Germany. It was one of the largest-scale satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time an estimated 400 million viewers, across 60 countries, watched the live broadcast.

Bob Wills was the driving force behind Western Swing, a form of country & western that was broader in scope than the parent genre. A master at synthesizing styles, Wills brought jazz, hillbilly, boogie, blues, big-band swing, rhumba, mariachi, jitterbug music and more under his ecumenical umbrella. He has been called “the King of Western Swing” and “the first great amalgamator of American music.” Wills grew up in a part of Texas where diverse cultures and forms of music overlapped. His enthusiasm and mastery were such that he assimilated disperate genres into what might best be termed American music. (Wills called it “Texas fiddle music.”)

Question by chris c: Do you love swing?
as much as myself? it has to be the most uplifting music anyone could possibly listen to. Old sinatra singing such classics as “Ain’t that a kick in the head” and Michael Buble singing “Moondance”. Anyone agree? x
